Ten hours of driving plus the craziness of the last few days have left me a little brain dead! You know the kind of tired where you just stare off into space for minutes at a time, random songs you heard on the radio in the car cycling through your head.
So, my apologies, Day 31 is anticlimactically happening on November 1st. I had a lot of cool plans for how to conclude this series but realistically, they just aren’t going to happen. Lame!
All that aside.. the results of my 31 Days of Memory challenge (to memorize a whole chapter of the Bible, First Peter 1, in a month): I’m seriously amazed. Starting out, I thought I would probably get a few verses learned, and become familiar with the chapter but not really remember it. Well I was wrong! I am going to keep working on it, but I can say the whole chapter with only a few prompts toward the end. WOW!
25 verses, 31 days, and the amazing thing: minimal effort. I didn’t spend hours a day in a quiet room by myself. I spent maybe 10 or 15 minutes a day on this, on good days. I relied heavily on “osmosis”, sleep, listening, little moments here and there, and o t w m t I f t I h r ! (on this wonderful memorization tool I found that I highly recommend!)
I’m so glad I did it.
